It's Festival Season!
September is here, and that means the Bay Area is awash in fall festivals. We have
a listing of most of them in our September issue. Pick it up or visit us online at
BayAreaParent.com. Below, I've listed a couple of VERY interesting ones happening

Ghiradelli Square Chocolate Festival
What's not to love about this? This festival for chocolate lovers benefits Project
Open Hand. Saturday and Sunday, noon-5pm. $10-$20. Ghiradelli Square, 900 North

Kidsfaire in Pleasanton
You might want to cross a bridge for this one: America's Family Expo is
California's largest children's and family event, benefiting Ronald McDonald House
of the Bay Area. There will be 250 exhibits displayed, including the new trapeze
adventure show. Saturday and Sunday. 10am-5pm. $8 adults, $5 ages 2-12. Alameda
County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton. thekidsfaire.com.
Picklewater Circus at Union Square
The best circus performers around the Bay Area celebrate the history of circus in
America. This Sunday, 2-4pm. FREE. Union Square. 415-477-2610.

We Want Your Halloween Photos!
In our October issue, Bay Area Parent will be publishing photos of kids in their Halloween costumes. Feel free to submit last year's photos, or, if you have an early-bird, let's see who or what your child will be this year!
To submit photos, click on the SUBMIT PHOTOS link on our homepage at http://sanfrancisco.parenthood.com. Simply review the photo release, click the submit button and attach your photos to the email. To submit by regular mail, please print and sign the release form found online. Include the form with your photos and send to Bay Area Parent, 1660 S. Amphlett Blvd., Suite 335, San Mateo, CA 94402.
